Design Considerations
Persian Bakhtiari tribal village rug from the SW Iranian province of Chahar Mahal va Bakhtiari. Professionally clean by ARCS member, Renaissance Rug Cleaning experts. Hard to find design in this condition, likely all vegetal dyes. Unusual Madder-red medallion within Persian-blue medallion on main field layout framed by extended spandrels along sides. Circa 1940s or earlier. Very nice rug.
