Indian rug brand Hands uses time-honoured techniques to craft its collection of intricately detailed contemporary carpets. This rug is part of its Lithology collection, which is based on different types of geological landforms reimagined in an artistic format. Each rug is hand tufted from bamboo silk and this example features a random pattern inspired by sand and soil deposits left behind by flowing water. The irregular network of shapes is enhanced by different pile heights and colours that bring variation to the design.
