When we say this is a leather belt, we mean it. Using a 8-9oz Water Buffalo leather, this top grain leather is known for it's durability - nothing is breaking that down. In fact, it'll get better with age, developing a beautiful patina with every adventure you take it on, whether it's to the store, or to the woods. The 1 1/4" wide Ashfield Belt features a solid brass buckle which is secured with solid brass rivets making it a great daily belt. This top-grain leather has a semi-gloss sheen and patinas beautifully and will tell your story as it ages. Belt size* is the length from the buckle to the middle of 5 notches set 1" apart.

* Belt size is not the same as pant size. To determine your belt size, take your best-fitting belt and measure from the point at which the leather meets the buckle to the notch you most frequently use. This measurement will generally be 3-4" bigger than the tagged size on your jeans. As a guide, waist size has been indicated in brackets: 34" (30), 36" (32), 38" (34), 40" (36).

** The leather used for this belt is a top-grain, water buffalo hide. During the tanning process, water buffalo hides are not stretched as much as cow hides which increases their strength and durability. This top-grain leather patinas beautifully and will tell your story as it ages.
