The Fluke i410 and i1010 are clamp-on current probes that measure both AC and DC current and convert it into a proportional voltage output of 1 mV per amp. Rather than functioning as standalone displays, they deliver that scaled millivolt signal to a separate measuring instrument such as a voltmeter, multimeter, or oscilloscope, extending that host instrument's ability to read current.
A clamp-style current probe measures the current flowing through a conductor by closing its jaw around that conductor, without breaking the circuit or interrupting the load. The proportional voltage it produces is then read by the connected measuring instrument, allowing current to be observed alongside the other parameters that instrument already supports.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois.
Fluke Corporation became part of Danaher Corporation in 1998, and since 2016 has operated under Fortive Corporation following Fortive's spinoff from Danaher.
The Fluke i410 and i1010 form a two-model family of clamp-on current probes that share a common design: a 1 mV-per-amp output, Double Insulation rated to 600 V rms CAT III, a load impedance of ≥1 MΩ and ≤100 pF, and operation from a single 9 V alkaline battery. Both convert measured AC or DC current into a proportional voltage for a connected host instrument.
The two models are distinguished primarily by their current measurement ranges and bandwidth, allowing a buyer to select the probe whose range and frequency response match the conductor and signal being measured.
Each model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing for the new unit. Select the model that fits your measurement range and bandwidth needs, then review its page for current new availability.
The i410 specifies a current range of 1 A to 400 A AC rms and 1 A to 400 A DC, with a usable range of 0.5 A to 400 A and a 3 kHz bandwidth. The i1010 extends to 1 A to 600 A AC rms and 1 A to 1000 A DC, with a usable range of 0.5 A to 1000 A and a 10 kHz bandwidth.
Accuracy also differs across the family: the i410 specifies 3.5 % + 0.5 A for both DC and AC (the latter from 45 Hz to 400 Hz at crest factor ≤3), while the i1010 specifies 2.0 % + 0.5 A for DC and AC over 45 Hz to 400 Hz, plus 3.0 % + 0.5 A from 400 Hz to 2 kHz for sine-wave inputs. See the comparison table that follows for the per-model values.
| Model | AC Current Range | DC Current Range | Bandwidth |
|---|---|---|---|
| i1010 | 1 A – 600 A ac rms | 1 A – 1000 A dc | 10 kHz |
| i410 | 1 A – 400 A ac rms | 1 A – 400 A dc | 3 kHz |
