The 992 introduced a new form of the brand’s patented ABZORB cushioning, ABZORB SBS, which utilized non-cellular elastomer, rather than traditional foam rubber, allowing for peak performance over a longer period of use. After an opening salvo of tonal tan, New Balance reintroduces the iconic 992 in their quintessential grey colourway showcasing the most classic form of the 992. New Balance has dressed this classic sneaker in shades of grey, allowing its textural approach to shine through via a mesh upper combined with suede and leather overlays. Branding comes in the form of the brand’s signature “N” logo in a two-tone badge on the laterals, as well as embroidered logos on the tongue and the heel. Clean beige woven cotton laces add that special touch of flair, contrasting against a bold two-tone C-CAP compression-molded EVA midsole — complete with Ndurance tech - and black rubber outsoles.
