A master craftsperson carves the design out of a solid piece of teak wood. After the block is completed, a print artisan mixes natural dyes, dips each block into it, and presses it down onto the fabric yardages. This art of creating patterns on fabric requires an incredibly steady hand and a precise, repetitive movement to execute a master-level block print.
