An exquisite Paithani silk saree in cream and gold with gold zari buttas in Mor Bangdi Paithani. In Marathi , a bangadi is a bangle, and a peacock is a Mor. This saree has a gold zari tissue temple border with authentic mor bangdi motifs, arranged in eight rows. Each side has four rows. The mor bangdi is one of the most difficult motifs to weave, and one of the oldest. This particular saree was woven by a 6th Generation Paithani master weaver and took 15 months to complete. The gold zari tissue pallu has colorful akruti motifs of flowers, peacocks and mor bangdi, along with muniya motifs. A masterpiece in history, tradition, culture, craftsmanship, skill, and perseverance. Paithani sarees, from Paithan in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, are noted for their bright colors and their unique signature motifs. This precious treasure comes with a self plain cream blouse with a Paithani border.
