A wall-mounted shelf with a marble surface on an oak-and-plated-steel bracket — the bracket itself is the design feature. Designed by Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen for Audo Copenhagen.

The Audo Copenhagen Corbel Shelf references the traditional architectural corbel — the angled wall bracket that supports cornices in historic buildings, translated into a simplified, rectilinear profile. The bracket carries an oak component paired with plated steel, with a marble shelf surface mounted on top. The bracket form is visible rather than concealed, doing structural and visual work simultaneously.

The marble shelf carries veining specific to the stone block it was cut from. The oak-and-steel bracket grounds the marble against the wall with material contrast: stone, wood, metal, each reading distinctly within the assembly.
