A digital multimeter measures multiple electrical parameters from a single handheld instrument, letting a technician check voltage, current, resistance and related values across a circuit. The Megger AVO410 is a digital multimeter designed for the contracting electrician, with additional features that make the instrument suitable for a wide range of applications and users. It offers AC and DC voltage and current measurements as well as resistance, frequency and capacitance ranges.
The AVO410 carries a CAT IV 600 V safety rating, meaning the instrument is suitable for industrial applications. Its slim, compact case has a tough rubberised holster that provides an extra degree of protection from the extreme conditions found in industrial environments, and the positioning of the function switch and buttons lets the unit sit comfortably in the palm for single-handed use. The backlit display allows measurements to be made in poorly lit areas.

Important: The DCµA input terminal is protected by 3.6 kΩ PTC (600 V rated) thermistors. The loading effect of these devices may cause measurement errors on low impedance circuits (<100 kΩ).
Important: When measuring current on the A current terminal the instrument has an internal impedance of 0.01 Ω at AC/DC A in series with the circuit under test; the loading effect may cause measurement errors on low impedance circuits.
