It is not a defect but a natural occurrence that can be present in some slabs. Typically, this may appear in up to 5% of the stone slabs, and it may be more noticeable when the slabs are wet. If you are concerned about this occurrence, we recommend considering alternative products like blue-grey porcelain paving slabs, which are man-made and guaranteed not to exhibit these natural characteristics.
