This is the original pencil drawing of the tea tree, also known as Leptospermum, the Australian native birth flower for November.

Tea tree is an upright evergreen shrub recognised for its fine, needle-like leaves and delicate blossoms that appear in soft shades of white, pink, or red. In the language of flowers, tea tree symbolises protection, making it a meaningful piece for someone born in November.

Carefully drawn by hand in my Sydney studio, this artwork celebrates the quiet beauty of Australian native flora. Each pencil stroke is layered slowly to capture the delicate structure of the flowers and foliage.

This drawing took many quiet hours to complete. Tea tree flowers have such delicate structures, and I wanted to capture their softness while keeping the lightness of the pencil.
