Presented here is a unique, hand fabricated copper necklace and earring set, formed in 24 ga. naturally patinaed copper wire, and strung with lusterous, natural color, grey-blue-green and lavender hued freshwater keshi and freshwater seed pearls, opaline glass beads, and glass seed beads.

The necklace is completed with a simple copper triangle toggle clasp. This strand can be worn with the clasp hanging on the side, or nape of neck, depending on your mood.

The gorgeous and long dangle earrings are lightweight, and made to match. Both necklace and earrings are made with bare uncoated copper wire, which is intended to patina to a rich, deep brown over time. The color contrasts on this set are lovely, and would complement any skin color.

Beautiful Accidents: A little about Keshi pearls-

Keshi pearls are small non-nucleated pearls typically formed as by-products of the pearl cultivation process. These secondary pearls usually form around a tiny piece of debris or broken shell that embeds itself inside the mollusk, and becomes an irritant to it during the pearl cultivation process. This typically occurs near the insertion point of the tool used to implant the bead that will eventually become a cultured pearl. The mollusk treats this offending odd shaped debris as it would any rounded seed, used for becoming a pearl. It will push, tumble and coat the irritating piece over and over with layers of nacre, until it becomes a super-lustrous pearl itself! These Keshi pearls, unlike the seeded ones, consist almost entirely of freeformed solid nacre, and tend to have incredible luster and unusual shapes, as a result.This makes them more like natural pearls than the cultured ones!...

Opaline Glass- Sometimes mistaken for moonstone, or natural opal, opaline glass was made famous in the Victorian era, and made the subject of many delicious art nouveau pieces of that time. It now retains it's popularity and beauty by way of it's milky, whitish and translucent appearance, along with a hypnotic blue opalescent luster. 

These beautiful elements are enmeshed together by way of hand wrapped copper wire links.
