The Keithley 2000 Series Scanners are plug-in scanner cards designed to install in the back-panel option slot of Keithley Model 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2010 digital multimeters. Three card variants are available: the 2000-SCAN general-purpose 10-channel card, the 2001-SCAN high-speed multiplexing card with solid-state channels, and the 2001-TCSCAN thermocouple/general-purpose card with built-in cold-junction reference.
These scanner cards transform a host multimeter into a multipoint test and measurement system suited to applications involving up to ten measurement points. Combining scan and measurement capabilities in a single instrument reduces the need for extra equipment, eliminates complexities of triggering, timing, and processing issues, and helps reduce test time. The 2001-TCSCAN supports cold-junction compensated temperature measurements alongside voltage, resistance, and frequency measurements on the same card.
ValueTronics International has supplied new and pre-owned test and measurement equipment from our Elgin, Illinois facility since 1992. Every {{CONDITION}} 2000 Series Scanner card we sell is inspected by our technical staff at our 20,000 square foot warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive before it leaves the building. Customers reach a live test equipment specialist by phone and receive the same instrument they were quoted — with the condition, accessories, and documentation confirmed in writing.
Keithley Instruments was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1946 and built its reputation on precision low-level electrical measurement instruments. Keithley was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2010, joining Tektronix in the same portfolio. In 2016, Danaher's industrial businesses — including both Keithley and Tektronix — were spun off into Fortive Corporation, where the Keithley brand continues today.
The Keithley 2000 Series Scanners comprise three plug-in scanner cards — the 2000-SCAN, 2001-SCAN, and 2001-TCSCAN — that all install in the back-panel option slot of the Keithley Model 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2010 digital multimeters. The datasheet groups these three cards as a family because they share the same host-instrument compatibility, the same compact mechanical form factor, and the same screw terminal input architecture.
Within the family, each card targets a different measurement focus. The 2000-SCAN is the general-purpose 10-channel relay scanner. The 2001-SCAN adds two solid-state channels to enable high-speed ratio and delta measurements. The 2001-TCSCAN trades one channel for a built-in cold-junction reference to enable thermocouple temperature measurements alongside voltage, resistance, and frequency.
Each new 2000 Series Scanner card listed below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Click into the specific card variant that fits your application and host multimeter to see the current quote, accessories included, and availability.
The 2000-SCAN is the entry point in the family: 10 channels of 2-pole relay input, configurable as 5-channel 4-pole, suited to general-purpose multiplexing into the host multimeter without the solid-state speed enhancements or thermocouple reference of the other two cards.
The three cards differ in channel architecture and measurement capability. The 2000-SCAN provides ten 2-pole relay channels with no solid-state or thermocouple capability. The 2001-SCAN provides eight relay channels plus two solid-state channels, with the solid-state channels supporting DCV, ACV, and frequency measurements at faster actuation times (150 µs on / 100 µs off versus 2.5 ms for the relay channels). The 2001-TCSCAN provides nine analog channels plus a dedicated cold-junction reference channel for thermocouple work, with scan speeds up to 43 channels per second at 1°C resolution.
Function coverage also differs across the family. The 2001-SCAN relay channels handle DCV, ACV, 4-wire and 2-wire resistance, RTDs, frequency, and (on two channels with user-supplied shunt resistors) DCI and ACI. The 2001-SCAN solid-state channels are limited to DCV, ACV, and frequency. The 2001-TCSCAN supports DCV, ACV, 4-wire resistance, thermocouple, 2-wire resistance, 4-wire RTD, 2-wire RTD, and frequency — mixable channel to channel.
