A fully upholstered chair with an upright seat angle, drawn from early 20th-century forms. Originally commissioned for the Audo Copenhagen Tearoom.

The Audo Copenhagen Tearoom Chair is fully upholstered over a solid internal frame, with high-resilience foam through the seat and back. The seat height and back angle are calibrated for upright, active sitting at a table — the posture supports working or dining rather than reclining. The foam holds its density over time without softening into the frame.

Original Tearoom commission

The chair was originally commissioned for the Audo Copenhagen Tearoom in Copenhagen. It draws on early 20th-century seating forms in its curved back rail, upright seat angle, and tight upholstery at the arms and base. The elbow cutouts at the arms distinguish it from a standard dining chair: the seated position supports activity rather than passive rest.
