RAILS is a modular furniture collection composed of stackable, I-shaped components conceived by French interior designer Gwendoline Porte. Handmade by local artisans in France and Portugal, each piece in the RAILS collection has a distinctive silhouette informed by the cross section of a railway track.

The individual components can be used as stools, chairs, coffee tables or side tables, but when stacked together, form benches, tables, room dividers and even shelving. This particular piece, made from lightweight FSC plywood and finished in brass and black and yellow lacquer, can be used as a side table.
