A stunning 17th century oak six plank coffer with carved decoration to the front panel and borders.

The rectangular top opens to reveal a candle box within which sits a key; please note that the key does not work within the lock but is included for completeness. 

The coffer has signs of wear commensurate with age, most notably a wood shrinkage split to the front panel, which adds to the character of the piece.
