The design of this playful lamp by San Francisco-based Branch Creative references the times of day when the rising and setting sun alters how our world is illuminated. The clever use of metalised glass produces two distinctly different effects when the light is off or on.

The lamp comprises a simple conical base that intersects with a rounded shade that seems to be made from solid brass. A mirrored coating applied to the glass diffuser conceals a spire-like light source that appears when the lamp is turned on. The lamp can be placed on a table or sideboard to provide an elegant source of ambient illumination.
