Sooner or later your supercharger belt will break. When it happens, there's a good chance it will take out the plastic thermostat housing. Our thermostat housing guard helps to avoid potential damage and may save you from getting stranded or having to pack up early from a track weekend.

Our guard is designed to fit over the OEM studs used on the Gen V LT4 and LT5 thermostat housing/water outlet. If your housing has bolts, you'll need to swap the bolts for studs (GM Part #11547383) before installing our guard. If you'd like to source the studs from us, we have them in stock here.

Orient the hose clamps to avoid contact with the guard. If your thermostat housing has bolts, replace each bolt one at a time with the stud (GM Part #11547383). Torque each stud as you go to 89 in-lbs. Slide the guard over the studs. Install the 3 nuts (included) and torque to 89 in-lbs.
