Unlike standard baby gates that typically have a 3cm threshold, the Flat Step gate features a thin step-over bar, making it safer to walk through, particularly at the top of stairs. Operating the Flat Step Gate is straightforward: lift the handle to open it and use a simple press-down movement to close it, thanks to the close-assist system. To ensure the gate is securely closed, you can check the Secure Tech® indicator, a reliable visual confirmation of the gate’s status.

The gate is designed for convenience and versatility, opening in both directions and incorporating a “keep open” system, ideal for times when the children are not around. It fits openings between 73cm and 80cm and can be extended with separately available extensions, accommodating a variety of doorway and stairway sizes.
