(this is actually a blend of Le Fourneau and Jouise that most people would not know isn’t exclusively from Jouise given the very close similarity of the names). Here the more expressive nose is compositionally similar to that of the Les Songes though it is perhaps slightly more elegant. This too is admirably dense with good detail and minerality to the focused medium-bodied flavors that deliver fine power and punch on the balanced and lengthy finish that is youthfully austere and mildly rustic. This is also an excellent Gevrey villages though again I can’t approve of the way it is labeled. (89-91)/2024+
