Bovine Tracheal Cartilage *Type II Collagen*

Consuming bovine tracheal cartilage

  • Supports Wound Healing and Immune Response*
  • Supports joint, cartilage and connective tissue health.*

The work of the late Dr. John Prudden showed that bovine tracheal cartilage had unique and powerful effects on wound healing, autoimmune conditions, joint health and several other conditions considered to be treatment resistant to conventional therapies.[1,2,3,4]

According to Dr. Prudden, bovine cartilage stimulates the immune system in certain conditions, but suppresses it in others... Thus it acts as a “normaliser” or immunoregulator to balance and regulate a health promoting response for a given stiumulus. According to Dr. Prudden, “bovine cartilage closely resembles fetal mesenchyme, the primordial tissue from which muscle, bone, tendons, ligaments, skin, fat and bone marrow (the heart of the immune system) all develop.” “The cartilage”, he adds, “contains numerous powerful molecular biodirectors.” [5]

There is a wide amount of interest in BTC for use as a natural health supplement, for glycosaminoglycans (GAG's) and Chondroitin Sulphate (CS) for gut, bone, joint and skin health. [6]

The Australian Beef industry is recognised world wide for being hormone and chemical residue free. NXGEN® Wholefoods source our cartilage from grass fed Lake Eyre beef cattle with stringent residue testing regimes in place.

BTC’s maximum natural potential is retained & delivered in NXGEN® Wholefoods concentrated BTC powder. It is 100% pure, produced using a natural process and is guaranteed:

· 100% Australian Grass Fed & Finished

· 100% natural BTC in its raw state

· Hormone Free

· BSE Free

· No artificial flavours or colouring

· No additives or flowable fillers

· No GMO’s or glyphosate

Bovine Tracheal Cartilage is essentially made of water, collagen, and proteoglycans, a protein-polysaccharide bond that provides elasticity. [10,11]

Bio-available = Maximum Nutritional Potential

Cartilage is a food that is well known to be difficult to digest. Bio-availability of NXGEN® BTC is enhanced due to a natural process of enzyme hydrolysis followed by gentle freeze drying.

Australian Premium Quality Grass Fed  Freeze-drying freshly harvested cartilage preserves the unaltered proteins, enzymes and fat-soluble activators present. The tissues we use are taken only from grass fed, inspected animals, raised without the use of pesticides, hormones or antibiotics, in Australia, where mad cow disease has never occurred.

DIRECTIONS

Take as a capsule or empty contents into smoothies. Blends easily with various fruit or vegetable juices & is best consumed before meals for maximum absorption.  Take 4 capsules daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.  Can be taken with or without food.  Can be taken all at once or in divided doses.  For extra support, the dose may be doubled or tripled.  If doubling or tripling the dose, the doses should be separated by at least three hours to improve tolerability.

To avoid detox reactions, it is strongly suggested that you start at one capsule a day and increase the dose approximately every three days until you have reached the desired dose.  Detox reactions are more likely to occur when starting at the full dose.  One capsule is equivalent to 10ml of concentrated liquid BTC.
