Paulista is a fresh market and pre-pack bean with dark attractive dark green pods. Paulistahas for years set the standard in the non-rust resistant bobby bean segment. The variety is medium late making it ideal for hand picking. Paulista has an excellent presentation in the pre-packs and is popular variety with chain stores. The pod length is approx. 13 – 14 cm with a diameter of 6 – 9 mm. The fruit is straight, medium dark green and shiny with a round pod shape. Days to harvest 55 – 60 day. Paulista has an excellent disease resistance package with high resistance to Bean common mosaic (BCMV), Anthracnose race lambda (Cl: race lambda) and Halo blight race 2 (Psp: 2), intermediate resistance to Bean curly top (BCTV).
